I have previously mentioned a project of mine as part of one of my modules - 148 DVA Integrated Design. For this we have to create a 12 page website, working as part of a group we was given the moon to discuss. We found we worked better as part as a group with the addition of humour and fun and chose to use this to our strengths by having a fun concept. We later determined our theme would be cheese! from a list of interesting facts we found a survey from 1988 which showed that 13% of people thought the moon was made form cheese. We came up with the idea of linking different cheeses to our different topics we would have for the pages for example, blue cheese would represent blue moons and myths another would be swiss cheese illustrating the craters on the moon and its surface.
We came up with the idea of having our home screen as a cheeseboard these would be where the user would choose which topic they were interested in or which page they would like to visit. This is an on going research project for each of us to find the perfect cheeses linking to our topics. We have recently decided to illustrate our own cheese packaging to feature on our pages, this will allow us to inject our own personal style and thoughts but with a continuous feel to the website, this is an important factor for our marking of the project.

We hope to plane a cheese rolling day out as 'research' for our project but also for a fun break which we can hopefully share with the rest of our class.
Researched Websites - inspiring webpages to remember
Plans for the next few weeks are to develop a logo to use throughout the whole website and sketch out a few illustrations for my page based upon cheese packaging. I will share my designs soon and any new notes that change the direction of the project but for now....
