Earlier on this month we were given a short project to complete. With the brief given to us in the morning, we were then asked to present our initial ideas and proposal later that afternoon. We were the given a week or so to complete the task and present our concept within an exhibition. The task was to re brand an art gallery situated just down the road from our building, The Glass Box Gallery. The exhibition of work produced from the class was to then be displayed within the gallery itself.
Focusing around the identity of the name of Glass Box Gallery, I created a series of simple wireframe shapes which will form an anamorphic installation within the gallery itself and be applied across the materials forming a very minimal style and clean feel to the branding. A sense of identity is formed and connection made to the gallery's name, yet the simplicity and subtle designs allow the artwork within the gallery on display to also be a main focal point.
To illustrate my brand concept I created some mock ups to display within the exhibition of work and some postcards for an interactive element to the visitors of the gallery. As my work was to be displayed in the window, I wanted passer-Byers to also see the work, therefore I later changed the set up for the postcards and displayed them on stands.
